At JMS Skip Hire, we’re passionate about supporting our local community. When we saw BBC’s DIY SOS were looking for help at the biggest build they have ever attempted, we jumped at the chance to be involved. It was an incredible experience to be part of something so special right on our doorstep.
A life changing project for a local family
The Freckleton build was all about transforming the life of a local family. The aim was to create a home where their son, who had been in hospital for 3 years, could finally come home and live with his family. Daniel’s home was not suitable for his wheelchair and care, so a huge number of local businesses and tradespeople rallied around for two weeks to transform their home into an accessible and functional space for Daniel, reuniting him with his family, who had been traveling to visit him at the hospital.
Providing skips to keep the project moving
With so much demolition, building, and landscaping happening in such a short space of time, effective waste management was essential. JMS Skip Hire supplied multiple 8 and 12 Yard skips throughout the project, ensuring that waste was cleared promptly and the team could keep working safely and efficiently.
Our drivers worked flexibly to deliver and collect skips as and when needed, helping the site to stay organised and on schedule. It was a real privilege to see our “Blue Beauties” on site alongside so many skilled tradespeople and volunteers.
